What are your payment options
At Movement Matters Osteopathy we offer VISA, Mastercard, EFTPOS and Cash.
Can I claim osteopathy though my private health insurance
Yes, at Movement Matters Osteopathy Gold Coast we offer patients a Smart Health Terminal and HICAPS facility for fast processing of private health insurance cover. Please bring your private health fund card with you for us to make the claim on the spot, the gap payment of the difference between the consultation fee and the private health fund rebate can be made by VISA, Mastercard, EFTPOS or cash.
Can I get a Medicare rebate on osteopathy
To qualify for a Medicare rebate on osteopathic treatment you need to have a chronic or terminal health condition that has been or is likely to be present for 6 months of longer. These plans are designed for patients who require a structured approach to their care and to enable GPs to plan and coordinate the care of patients with complex conditions requiring ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team.
Although there’s is no list of eligible conditions. Some examples include asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, musculoskeletal conditions and stroke
If you’re suffering from a chronic health condition please discuss your options with your doctor.
If your doctor has referred you for osteopathic treatment under Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management Plan scheme formerly known as an EPC plan or Enhanced Primary Care Plan, then payment of our clinic fees is made after each visit. Following payment your receipt can either be taken to Medicare where you can claim your rebate, or we can process your rebate onsite through our terminal. The Medicare schedule fee for allied health services including osteopathy services includes a Medicare rebate of $58.30 for 5 visits.

Do you invoice for your services
We do not invoice for Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management Plan schemes or any of our private consultations, all payments must be made in full at the time of your consultation. At Movement Matters Osteopathy Gold Coast payment can be made by EFTPOS, VISA, MASTERCARD credit cards and cash.
Do you treat workers compensation and DVA patients
Osteopaths are registered providers for workers’ compensation schemes, motor accident insurers and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. Please ask our friendly reception staff about referral requirements for these services.
